Santa Cruz, California sits on the central California coast, 90 miles south of San Francisco and 40 miles north of Carmel, on the northern lip of the environmentally rich Monterey Bay. It has evolved as a center for many artists and art related organizations, both in the visual arts and the performing arts. A few of these are listed below, along with a few business web sites and addresses of interest to those learning and practicing painting. These latter may be of special interest to those joining Michele for her classes and workshops in Oil Painting.
