Instruction in Landscape Oil Painting

• Beginning in January of 2012, Michele is offering instruction by appointment, offering more flexibility than could be afforded with group classes. Private and semi private lessons are available. Michele also teaches small, self-organized groups.
  "Teaching and learning in this mode allows each student to get individual attention and have the lesson tailored to their abilities. I prefer teaching landscape plein air, as it facilitates understanding of nature's values, which photography often distorts. In the field, students are assisted creating their own compositions and can rearrange features that are available at the site."
  For students comfortable with fundamentals, sessions will be scheduled outdoors in the community.
  
• Private instruction is available at $95 for a 3-hour session; semi-private is available for $50 per student for a 3-hour session. Larger groups by arrangement.
  
• Participants in Michele's painting classes and workshops are expected to arrive fully equipped with portable easel, paints, brushes and other supplies. (A materials list is supplied upon registration.)
  
• Plein air painting is set up in various locations, but Michele seeks to arrange locations with sufficient accessibility for the registered class participants. (It's good to talk with Michele prior to your first class, to let her know your painting level, and any constraints on locations which make sense for you.)
  
• If bad weather threatens a plein air session, Michele will make her studio available as an alternative location.
