Two weekends: October 12-13 and 19-20, 2002

Michele Hausman will host her Autumn Studio Show as a participant in Open Studios 2002 - the county-wide art tour presented by the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz County.

Visitors may stroll through the garden up to her art studio in Soquel, California, for an opportunity to meet the artist, view her recent work, and see paintings in progress.

Afternoon at the Bluffs, Oil on Canvas, 9x12

Michele's work will be exhibited at these two California Galleries in 2002. On display will be landscapes from the Central Coast of California.

In July/August, the exhibition will be at The Great Frame Up in San Jose, located at 5025 Almaden Expressway (right by the interchange off Highway 85.) A reception will be held at the Gallery on August 11.

In November/December, the exhibition will be at The Great Frame Up located at 1012 E. Bidwell Street in Folsom, CA. Reception information will be posted here when available.

Two of Michele's paintings have been selected by juror Peter Loftus for display at this exhibition, joining work selected from artists around the country.

On display will be "Painted Pony" and "N.Y., We Share Your Pain".

The exhibit will be at the Santa Cruz Art League CA. A reception for the artists at the Art League will be held on Sunday, August 18, from 3 - 5 pm.

This was the 8th annual art exhibition and sale, once again held at the beautiful Triton Museum of Art. The show was sponsored by the Association of Visual Artists.

Michele's work was exhibited in the booth of the Santa Cruz Oil Painters.

Michele's paintings were selected for two awards, including Best Of Show for Slough Cypress and a Merit Award for Summer Cool.

Michele painting "Big Sur Coast"

Michele was selected to participate in the Carmel Art Festival. Michele joined other Plein Air artists from around the country as they created paintings in and around Carmel, allowing the public to meet them and view their works in progress. On Thursday and Friday, the participating artists created paintings, submitting one each day for entry in the competition and silent auction.

A reception and awards ceremony was held at the Carmel Art Association Gallery on Dolores Street on Saturday from 4 - 6 pm.

The Fingerhut Gallery is now offering original oil paintings by Michele Hausman in their Carmel location. On display at the Gallery are landscape paintings by Michele of the Big Sur coast region.

This gallery is one of the most highly regarded in Carmel, a town famed as a center for the arts. The gallery is located in the center of Carmel, on San Carlos between Fifth and Sixth Streets. Visit the gallery and ask about Michele's work.

Michele's oil on canvas original, Morning from the Bridge, is included in this year's competition at the Museum in Half Moon Bay, CA. This competition draws work in a range of media from artists throughout California. The museum is located in Zaballa Square at 300 Main Street in the center of Half Moon Bay, just 2 blocks off highway 92.
